Whether you are on a bachelor’s or master's program —MAHLE offers you the opportunity to do an internship from your third technical semester. Show us your talent, whether it’s in a commercial or a technical field. Bring us your ideas and then take from us a wealth of practical knowledge to accompany you on your studies. During your internship with us, you will be given more responsibility in line with your increasing experience and you will work on different projects, all within an international environment. What qualifies you:

As a bachelor's degree or masters student, you will have successfully completed your basic course or will have completed at least three semesters as part of a bachelor's degree – typically in the following fields:

  • Vehicle and engine technology
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Mechatronics

Typical internship day

So that you know today what you can expect tomorrow, we would like to give you an overview of a typical working day at MAHLE for an intern with a software focus.

  • 08:15—Working day begins
  • 08:20—Independent work on development of subfunctions within the project
  • 10:30—Meeting with supervisors on current status and task planning for the week
  • 11:30—Lunch break
  • 12:15—Validation of previously developed subfunctions (simulation)
  • 14:30—Perform test bench validation of the function
  • 16:00—Working day ends

  • 08:00—Working day begins
  • 08:15—Check e-mail & prepare MATLAB/Simulink program
  • 08:30—Check test bench results
  • 09:30—Open simulation models and rework if necessary
  • 11:00—Analyze results and prepare documentation
  • 12:00—Lunch break
  • 12:45—Discuss analysis and results with supervisor
  • 14:00—Continue work on analysis and thesis
  • 16:00—Prepare task list for the next day
  • 17:00—Working day ends
